Drug Store Lash Game-Changer

By now, surely you know how hot of a topic LASHES are! And how the eyelash extension trend has completely changed women’s faces from here on out.  And I looooove eyelash extensions!  They make you look and feel like a movie star.  They are literally instant confidence.  Highly recommend if you’re considering trying them.  But if not, and you just want to make your natural lashes LOOK like fake lashes, then keep reading to find out which drug store product changed my mascara routine forever.

I always wear primer under my mascara.  Like ALWAYS.  And I always receive a ton of compliments on my lashes because of it (which is so nice, thanks guys!).  People often think they’re lash extensions or false lashes.  But they’re not!  And I used to use a more expensive mascara primer and, honestly, this one does a better job – AND I receive EVEN more compliments on them than before.  Since so many people ask me on a daily basis if my natural lashes are fake, I thought, it’s really about time I share my secrets!

So, my mascara routine  goes a little something like this:

– CURL (I do NOT heat up my eyelash curler- bc they don’t have a heat protector for eyelashes yet J/K-  but seriously don’t heat it up, it damages your lashes and can burn the delicate skin around your eyes)

1 coat primer… (let it dry 30 secs)

1 coat mascara… (let it dry 30 secs)

1 final coat of mascara and…

THEN… I take my blow dryer, with cold air, and I blow them up so they are completely dry and they’re fanned out and as high as they’re going to get! ( This is really key especially if you have straight lashes that don’t like to curl.  Gravity is pulling wet lashes down as they dry.  This step really gets the lashes up and holds them there. )

If I’m doing bottom lashes, now would be when I’d apply the mascara to the lower lash line, once the top lashes are blown and done.  For daytime, I usually skip this step and leave my bottom lashes bare and save the lower lashes for nights out.

Hope this helps open your eyes a bit!  Ha!  See what I did there 😉
