As a professional hair stylist, here are the two of the best types of velcro rollers to style your bouncy layered looks with by my 2 favorite brands (in my own opinion after working with them and throwing them around, melting them with heat, staining them with color, covering them in hairsprays, crushing them in styling kits, etc.  

Both of these recommendations are lightweight, self-gripping rollers that don’t require any clips or pins to hold them in place.  They do the job all on their own! Simply wiggle to lock into place once you’ve wrapped the hair around and you’re ready to set.

Pro Tip #1:

Lift the rollers away from the head and gently twist to slide out without ripping or tearing the hair.  

Pro Tip #2: 

Set the hair in the rollers when hot, let cool completely, then remove.  

Pro Tip #3:

Blow dry and set hair first, apply makeup second so hair has the chance to set and stays out of your way while applying makeup 

Tip #4:  

Spray the hair with texture spray before you set it in rollers, then after setting all the hair, finish with a top coat of hairspray that will set the roots only, so your ends stay soft and bouncy, not sticky.
