Best Mason Pearson Knock-Off EVER

Every time I take out my Mason Pearson brush, and use it on a client at the studio, the first thing they usually say is, “I don’t have a brush like that.”  And I follow with, “Oh my god… It’s my favorite brush.”  

Why is it my favorite?  Because you can use it to do everything!  You can blow dry with it, tease with it, detangle, brush, fluff, and sweep hair into an upstyle all with THIS. ONE. BRUSH.  

Mason Pearson is a prestigious name in the hair industry.  Recognized for their unmatched quality and craftsmanship, there truly is no parallel.  

However, after almost 20 years of testing other brushes, I have found one that comes pretty close to the original but for a fraction of the price.  Much of the Mason Pearson production process is still done by hand, which ensures the legacy of the brand.  I’m definitely not comparing quality here.  I’m simply providing a more affordable option for purchasing the tool.  

If you’re a round brush lover who reaches for a flat iron after you’re done with your blowout – you need a flat brush.  

If you don’t like it when the ends of your hair have a little flip in or out – you need a flat brush.  

If you don’t like stubborn baby hairs sticking out of your ponytail -you need a flat brush.  

If you don’t really blow out your hair, you just curl it or straighten it after it’s dry – you need a flat brush.  

If you love volume at the root but straight ends – you need a flat brush.  

If you wear bangs – you need a flat brush.  

If you have cowlicks – you need a flat brush.  

If your hair is shoulder length or shorter – you need a flat brush.  

There is a learning curve, so don’t get discouraged if it feels awkward using it the first few times.  Because you won’t get the same amount of tension a round brush has, so you do need to apply some pressure with your thumb to control the hair.  Always let the bristles glide through the hair completely.
