Dyson Hair Dryer Review

Here’s what I think of the Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer

THE PRO’S:  It’s lightweight, easy to hold and the filter is not a screen on the back that pops off and sucks in your hair (BONUS!).  It gets hot and has a powerful output.  I like that the nozzle/concentrator doesn’t pop off, like all the attachments, it’s magnetic and stays nice and secure.  The dryer comes with two concentrators and one diffusor, and the chord is on the longer side so you have a lot of working room.  It really does dry the hair quickly.

Use:

LARGER CONCENTRATOR —> If your hair is on the finer or straighter side and you want to give it some volume.

SMALLER CONCENTRATOR —> If your hair has frizz or curl to it and you want a more sleek and smooth blowout.

DIFFUSER —> If your hair has a natural curl or wave that you want to enhance.

THE CONS:  The only drawback is the price.  But two years later, it’s still going strong, and I’m still loving it just as much [as the 2nd time I used it.]   ðŸ˜‰

If you’re not looking to invest that much in a hair dryer, I hear ya!  Here are two of the best blow dryers out there that are more affordable, but get the job done right.

1. The Parlux 3800 and the

2. Elchim 3900

Both are great hair dryers, in my opinion.  Very powerful, well made dryers with small concentrators to help give you precise aim and control.  (The smaller the opening is at the end of the concentrator, the more powerful the stream of air will be).)

Backstory:

I wasn’t convinced at first that the Dyson hair dryer was the Rolls-Royce of hair dryers.   I loved my vacuum… but I was skeptical.

“What makes it so great?”  “Why is it so expensive?”   I contemplated whether to invest or not and I decided… not.

Surprise, my brother got me one for Christmas 2 years ago.  Best present ever, btw!
