Hand-tied Hair Extensions
I get a lot of questions about hair extensions, so let me answer some for you! 🙂
What are hand-tied extensions?
– Wefts of hair, placed together in rows and sewn on top of a beaded track. Think of rows of clip-in extensions but now make them last about 2 months. They never need to be taken out, you wash them, dry them and style them as though they were your real hair.
What brand of extensions do you do?
– I am certified in a method of hand-tied hair extensions called Invisible Bead Extensions or “IBE”, where the track is completely hidden and the extensions are totally invisible.
How much does it cost?
– The price of an initial install can vary anywhere from $1000-$2000 depending on the length of hair chosen and how many rows need to be installed to ensure a seamless transition and blend from your natural hair to the extensions. * I can give more of an exact quote once you’ve filled out an application and we determine your starting point and desired end goal.
How long does it last?
– I start most of my new Invisible Bead Extensions guests off at 7 weeks, and we adjust from there. Some people I recommend to come every 6 weeks for a move-up appointment, and some can wait 8 or 9 weeks in between.
Is it real hair?
– Yes, 100% human hair. I only use Covet and Mane wefts.
Can I wear it up?
– Yes, you can wear it in a low pony, high pony, braid or topknot, no problem. Because the track is hidden, nothing is ever exposed, giving you so many options for styling.
Is it bad for my hair?
– Invisible Bead Extensions were created specifically to maintain a healthy scalp. There is no tension or over-direction so the natural hair remains healthy and strong, and there is no discomfort.
