Last Minute Halloween Costume Ideas (Using Household Items)

Are you late to the Halloween party?  It’s ok, you can use these basic things to make a costume out of ASAP:

*Grey hair – Baby powder your hair with a puff and hairspray to set for instant grey

*Zombie/Mummy/Ghost/ Corps Costume- Gauze, toilet paper, paper towel, or any other white fabric or material can be woven into any hairstyle using braids or twists.  Try a mohawk braid with a smaller braid on either side.  Weave a piece of fabric through each braid.  Gather and secure into a pony with the rest of the hair and you’ll look totally put together like you planned this costume months ago.

*Need more than just a tease?  Cut open a hair donut for buns and use the layers of filler to build whatever shape you need.  Top it with your natural hair to hide and pin in place with a few bobby pins.  This can also be used to build a lump, hump or any other type of creepy growth.

*Wig but no wig cap?  Use a nylon or the foot of a fishnet stocking.

*Need to make face paint on the fly?  Try using an eye shadow mixed with your makeup setting spray.  Add enough liquid to the compact so you can use the shadow like a paint. You can always use water too if you don’t have a setting spray handy as a last resort but obviously the setting spray would make it last all night.

*Need a beard, mustache, or eyebrows?  Draw it on with your root touch up spray or powder.

*Anytime you need your hair to really super stay Something-About-Mary style try Got2b glued freeze blast spray.

*Need horns?  Tin foil can be easily shaped and then wrapped in washi tape.

*Blood – hot glue gun on wax paper and paint it with red nail polish.  Use eyelash glue to adhere.
